The firm’s core services are preparing financial statements and corporate and personal tax returns. Cheng-Chung (Dick) Yu

Cheng-Chung (Dick) Yu is the President and Managing Director of the firm. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), obtaining his CA (Chartered Accountant) designation in 2002. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (U.S. and Taiwan).  

Besides his CPA and CA designations, Dick is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). Dick grew up in Taiwan and graduated from Tunghai University. He obtained his MBA (Master of Business Administration) from the University of Michigan, one of the top ten business schools in the U.S.  

Dick has solid expertise in tax compliance, public accounting, financial planning, commercial banking, corporate finance and strategic planning. He also has extensive experience with the global market, having worked in Taiwan, Hong Kong, the U.S., Belgium, and Canada, and having traveled to many other countries as well.  

Dick started his own accounting practice in 2002, after twenty years of working in-house for various small- and large-scale companies. His corporate experience includes being the General Manager at Canadian Scholars’ Press for several years where he oversaw the company’s finance department, administration, and operations. He was the Director of Finance at Dundurn Press, Canada’s largest independent publishing house. He was a Senior Business Adviser at CIBC, advising on and servicing the banking and financial planning needs of owner-managed businesses. Between 1993 and 1998, Dick also held various financial and treasury management positions at Honeywell—at the company’s headquarters in Minneapolis, U.S.A., and at the company’s Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Hong Kong.  

Dick speaks English, Mandarin, Taiwanese, Cantonese and some Japanese. He has served on the board of directors of several non-profit organizations and charities such as the Taiwan Merchants Association of Toronto, Taiwanese Canadian Toronto Credit Union, South Unionville Community Association, Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce of North America, and the North York Seniors Centre.  

Dick immigrated to Canada with his family in 1998. He is an avid player and fan of many sports, including table tennis, badminton, tennis, golf, baseball, softball, basketball, and bowling. He also enjoys skiing, reading, photography, traveling and the arts.
